Tinig ng Kababaihan (TNK) is a weekly radio program that aims to increase public awareness on government efforts to promote gender equality and address women’s concerns. First aired on 15 May 2009, it continues to serve as a venue for sharing inspiring stories on women, featuring various government projects and services, and promoting the implementation of the Magna Carta of Women.


TNK is a joint effort of the Philippine Commission on Women and the Presidential Broadcast Service – Bureau of Broadcast Services. The conduct of TNK is among the key activities that PBS-BBS includes in its annual Gender and Development Plan and Budget.


After almost three years of hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic, TNK went back on air in January 2023 and currently airs every Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Radyo Pilipinas 1 738kHz AM radio and its affiliate provincial stations nationwide, and live-streamed on the official Facebook page of the Philippine Commission on Women (@PCWgovPH) and Radyo Pilipinas 1 (@radyopilipinas1). The program is also simulcast on digital TV through Channel 3 (TVPlus) and Channel 45-49 (Affordabox).


The program is hosted by Ms. Hazel Morada, a radio broadcaster from the Philippine Broadcasting Service, and Ms. Honey Castro, the chief of the Corporate Affairs and Information Resource Management Division (CAIRMD) of the Philippine Commission on Women.


Aside from the featured topic per episode, the program also includes at least one of the following segments:


GAD News Ngayon – 2-3 Minutes news reading on selected newspaper articles . The format will be in news summary, with 4 main news items; 


YouGADThis! – A 5-10 minute segment specifically featuring GAD-related concerns like the use of maiden name, publications, GAD-topics, and other assistance in accordance to PCW mandates;


GAD-Alaman – Dagdag kaalaman ukol sa GAD – 2-3 minutes segment tackling specific trivia related to GAD citing historical milestones, observance, and other information on gender equality and women’s empowerment;


Bulletin Board – 1-2 Minutes announcements of events by government agencies related to GAD.


Dear PCW – 1-2 Minute letter reading from our listeners and letter senders on our Gender and Development (GAD) Information and Referral Services platform as a leeway to the main discussion point of the episode.
