PCW joins 1 Billion Rising

Representatives of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) show their support to the 1 Billion Rising global campaign on February 14, 2013. They paraded along Tomas Morato in Quezon City wearing “Stop Violence Against Women” advocacy shirts and hats.

1 Billion Rising is a global strike to demand an end to the violence experienced by more than 1 billion women. The New Voice Company, led by Monique Wilson, organized the Philippine campaign of the said international movement. Various non-government organizations, schools and government offices also joined the activity.
