Gender sensitivity training for Malungon Cooperative

Malungon, Sarangani–The Vice-Governor’s Office, together with the Philippine Commission on Women-AECID Magna Carta of Women Project local area coordinator Juvilyn Salazar, conducted a gender sensitivity training (GST++) with members of Banate Samahang Nayon Producers’ Cooperative last July 2014.

The gender sensitivity training (GST++) elevated the cooperative’s level of awareness and insights on gender and development, specifically on women’s human rights and women economic empowerment.

The PCW is the primary policymaking and coordinating body on women and gender equality concerns. The GST++ is sponsored by the Gal E’ Libun project of Sarangani Vice-Governor Jinkee Pacquiao.

Malungon is a local partner of the PCW-AECID Magna Carta of Women Project. Sarangani Province receives capacity development, technical and funding support to craft and implement gender-responsive policies, plans, programs and activities for women’s economic empowerment and women’s social rights.
