From Knowledge to Action

Training on Knowledge Management and Packaging of KM Products in August 26-27, 2014 at the Bayview Park Hotel, Manila

“Knowledge is about effective action” is the mantra of forty-seven participants from the 18 LGU partner sites of the PCW-AECID Magna Carta of Women Project during the two-day Training on Knowledge Management and Packaging of KM Products in August 26-27, 2014 at the Bayview Park Hotel, Manila.

The partner LGUs for Institutional Strengthening of Local Governance on Women Economic Empowerment and Women’s Human Rights in compliance of RA 7910 or the Magna Carta of Women are directly assisted by PCW through the AECID (Spanish Cooperation) for their various capacity development and gender-responsive programs, and are thus expected to be the benchmark and models by the other local government units in the country.

KM practitioners Almira Nerisa Andin and Precious Altuna guided the participants on the knowledge creation and sensing to capture, sharing and dissemination and knowledge utilization cycle to firm-up the action steps for the packaging of MCW project KM products.

In-depth case studies on the convergence initiatives, audio/video materials, infographics, magazines, brochures, guidebooks and manuals, training modules, success stories and webinars are some of the KM products that are planned by the LGU partners to promote sustainability and replicability of promising and best practices.

Lorena Yunque, Project Manager, called on the LGU partners to share the positive gains and outcomes of the project to others, as they are the seeds that are expected to grow and yield more fruits for others.
