Advisory: Postponement of the Governor’s GAD Summit

SUBJECT: Postponement of the Governors’ Gender and Development (GAD) Summit scheduled on November 20, 2013 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila
DATE: November 15, 2013
Upon the recommendation of the League of the Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) and its concern for those affected by super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), PCW has decided to postpone the conduct of the GAD Summit. This will give the concerned governors the time to attend to the needs of their constituents and oversee relief and rebuilding operations.
The Governor’s GAD Summit will be conducted first quarter of 2014 as part of the activities for the celebration of the Women’s Month Activities at a later date. The PCW and its partners DILG and LPP will send communication regarding the new schedule, venue and logistical requirements for the event.
