Executive Order 167 s. 2022 among others, provided for the updated composition of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) as follows:


  1. Chairperson who shall be appointed by the President and shall serve on a full-time basis with the rank and emoluments of an Undersecretary;
  2. Heads of the following government agencies who shall sit in the Commission as ex-officio members:
    • Department of Agriculture;
    • Department of Budget and Management;
    • Department of Education;
    • Department of Foreign Affairs;
    • Department of Health;
    • Department of the Interior and Local Government;
    • Department of Labor and Employment;
    • Department of Social Welfare and Development;
    • Department of Trade and Industry; and
    • National Economic and Development Authority;
  3. Twelve (12) members from civil society representing the following sectors:
    • Labor;
    • Business and Industry;
    • Science and Health;
    • Education or Academe;
    • Urban Poor;
    • Indigenous Peoples;
    • Farmers and Fisherfolks;
    • Senior Citizens;
    • Persons with Disabilities;
    • Media, Culture and the Arts;
    • Youth; and
    • One (1) representative of the National Council of Women in the Philippines.

The EO likewise provided that the incumbent members of the Commission shall continue to hold office unless replaced or removed by the President.


Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 1, among others, declared the positions of all Presidential Appointees classified as coterminous as vacant effective noontime of June 30, 2022.


The Philippine Commission on Women is awaiting the appointment of a Chairperson and Civil Society Members of the Commission by President Ferdinand R. Marcos. In the meantime, stakeholders are advised to send their communications to:
