Women power


One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of Mother of All Mother Entrepreneurs. Recipients of the awards are Madam Eulalia Baylon (received by his grandson, 3rd from left), Philippine Women’s University President Helena Benitez (middle) and National Bookstore’s Socorro Ramos (3rd from right). More than 5,000 participants from government agencies, non government organizations, private sector and civil society gathered to celebrate the biggest women’s summit dubbed as “Go Negosyo: Babae, Yaman Ka ng Bayan!” on March 2, 2009 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The Summit is one highlight of the Women’s Month Celebration. 


  • NCRFW Chair Myrna T. Yao addressed the participants in a successful 2009 Women’s Month Celebration held last March 2, 2009 at the World Trade Center. Chair Yao said that this year’s celebration recognizes women as potent actors in national development and in poverty reduction.
