MOVE Statement for DILG Sec. Jesse M. Robredo

The Men Opposed to Violence Against Women Everywhere Philippines, Incorporated (MOVE Phil.) is expressing sympathy and recognition to the invaluable contribution of Secretary Jesse M. Robredo to the Filipino people particularly in advocating the noble principles of MOVE Phil.

The Officers and Members of MOVE Phil. and its 26 Chapters nationwide recognized Secretary Robredo for he had shown exemplary leadership in pursuing policy directives towards the active involvement of the male employees in the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the uniformed male personnel of PNP, BJMP and BFP and the officers and members of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas (LnB) in Regions VI, VII and VIII. In his personal capacity he chose to be an active member of MOVE Phil. embracing the ideals and principles in eliminating violent acts towards women and promoting equal opportunity to both women and men.

For being an icon of an ideal Filipino, a responsible husband to his wife and a nurturing father to his daughters. All these, he showed through shared parenthood and demonstrated this to the Filipino people in his desire to harmoniously equate good governance and servant leadership.

Now the time is over, he is now at peace with the Lord, and we will forever cherish his memories with us. DILG Secretary Jesse M. Robredo, a friend, a role-model to all Filipino men, a VAW Champion and a MOVEr, through us he will live on.

To the bereaved family of the late Sec. JESSE M. ROBREDO, we would like to extend our deepest Condolences.

To Secretary JESSE M. ROBREDO, on and in behalf of the Officers and Members of MOVE Phil. and its Chapters, THANK YOU and GOODBYE.
