Magna Carta of Women mobile app set to launch on Women’s Month

Provisions of the comprehensive women’s human rights law will soon be a fingertip away as the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) is set to launch a mobile application, just in time for the Women’s Month.

In December 2013, the PCW launched a contest among college students aiming to develop a mobile application which focuses on any provision of the Magna Carta of Women (MCW).

Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: Innovation and Originality, Content, Intuitive design and usability, and technical quality.

The PCW has shortlisted 16 entries from 13 schools in Metro Manila. Qualified entries will be ranked and the top 5 will be invited to a presentation on March 12, 2014 for the final judging.

The top three winners will receive cash prizes and will be invited to demonstrate and publicly present their respective winning apps on March 28, 2014 at Diamond Hotel in Manila.
