Levelling and Learning Session on GAD Technical Assistace For Potential GAD Resource Pool Members (Batch 3)



Last March 26, 2014, the Philippine Commission on Women certified thirty-seven (37) individual and thematic GAD experts as members of the PCW GAD Resource Pool. They were also recognized officially during the “Women’s Consultative Conference”, PCW’s Women’s Month culminating activity last March 28, 2014 at the Diamond Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

The GAD Resource Pool is composed of individual and institutional members from national government agencies (NGAs), local government units (LGUs), academe, civil society organizations (CSOs) and individual GAD practitioners who will be tapped and continuously capacitated by the PCW to provide technical assistance on GAD Mainstreaming.

Thirty (30) GAD practitioners from the different sectors of society were shortlisted as potential members of the GR Pool for the third batch who will be assessed during the levelling and learning session. GAD practitioners who will receive a positive assessment will be eligible for certification as members of the PCW GR Pool.

In this regard, the PCW will be convening the third batch of the GAD Resource Pool on July 29-August 1, 2014 at the Ciudad Christhia Resort (9 Waves), San Mateo, Rizal.

The criteria for the selection of GAD Resource Pool members are as follows:

  • Proven track record as GAD technical adviser or resource person;
  • Previous engagement with PCW;
  • Vouched for/endorsed by other GAD experts or PCW officers/official; (4) Availability to attend the levelling sessions, capacity development sessions for GR Pool members and ability to respond to TA request on GAD.
