GAD Planning and Budgeting Forum for National Agencies, Attached Offices, Bureaus and GOCCs

The Philippine Commission on Women, in partnership with the Commission on Audit, will convene the Third GAD Budget Forum (GBF) to be held on October 9 and 10, 2014 at the PDC Auditorium located on the 3rd Floor, Commission on Audit (COA) Building, Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. The forum will serve as a venue to:

  1. Re-orient national line agencies, attached offices, bureaus and GOCCs on the Revised Guidelines on the Preparation of the Annual Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget and Accomplishment Report including the supplemental guidelines on the new procedure of GPB submission through the GMMS;
  2. Clarify issues and concerns encountered by agencies in the preparation and implementation of their annual GAD Plans and Budgets;
  3. Present the revised guidelines in the audit of Gender and Development (GAD) Funds and activities in government agencies; and
  4. Level off on the use of Gender Mainstreaming Monitoring System (GMMS).

The GBF is expected to be participated by 400 participants from national agencies, attached offices, bureaus, government owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), Legislative and Judiciary Branches, Constitutional Bodies and other government instrumentalities.

In this regard, we invite agencies to send two representatives (preferably the GAD Focal Point Chairpersons and Budget Officers) from each agency to attend the GAD Budget Forum free of charge.

We also request agencies to please read the attached List of Participating Agencies and attend according to their suggested schedule in order for PCW and COA to manage the session, particularly the open forum. Further, attached agencies, bureaus and GOCCs are strongly encouraged to attend the session schedule of their mother/central agency. Stand-alone GOCCs are scheduled to participate in the second day session.

The auditorium is limited to 200 participants and registration will be given on a first come, first serve basis. Agencies are encouraged to register early due to limited slots. Please submit the registration form to PCW by fax, email not later than October 7, 2014. Participant’s registration will be confirmed by an email or text message.
