Capacity development series on women’s economic empowerment and local economic development

Supported by the GREAT Women Project, the Capacity Development Series provided useful strategies to strengthen local governance for women’s economic empowerment. The CD series ran from March 23-27 for Luzon at the Hotel Stotsenberg in Pampanga, from March 30-April 3 at the Cebu Parklane Hotel in the Visayas, and from March 9-13 at the Waterfront Hotel in Mindanao. The CD series drew close to 500 local chief executives and local government officers from the eight GREAT Women Project sites: Ifugao, Metro Naga, Quezon, Bohol, Leyte, Iloilo, Davao del Sur and PALMA Alliance.
