1.0 This advisory is issued in accordance with items 5.2 and 6.1 of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) Memorandum Circular No. 2025-01 entitled “Guide for the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC).”
2.0 The PCW, in partnership with SM Cares, will hold the 2025 NWMC Kick-off event on March 5, 2025, at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. Anchored on this year’s sub-theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the event seeks to empower women from various sectors, especially those in marginalized communities, by providing access to essential services, learning opportunities, and an inclusive platform for engagement.
This gathering will highlight the country’s commitment to gender equality by raising awareness on women’s rights, and equip participants with valuable knowledge and resources that can help improve their well-being and economic opportunities.
The event will feature service booths offering free medical check-ups, legal consultations, and livelihood support; the presentation of the State of Filipino Women Report, which highlights the country’s progress in achieving gender equality; and the unveiling of the PCW 50th Anniversary Coffee Table Book, commemorating five decades of advocacy for women’s rights. Additionally, a comprehensive lecture series will be conducted, covering topics such as Financial Literacy, Digital Safety, Digital Careers, Fire Safety, Disaster Resilience, Mental and Physical Health, and Microfinancing. These sessions aim to equip women with essential knowledge and skills that enhance their empowerment and resilience across various aspects of life. Through this event, the PCW and its partners reaffirm their commitment to ensuring that every woman—regardless of background—has the support, opportunities, and tools needed to thrive in Bagong Pilipinas.
