This engagement is expected to manage the IT Helpdesk of the PCW’s information systems which includes the Gender Mainstreaming Monitoring System (GMMS), the Knowledge Management System (KMS) and other related information systems. As the person-in-charge of the IT Helpdesk, the IT support staff shall respond to technical support requests and inquiries in using PCW information systems. He/ she shall provide first-level troubleshooting of system-related problems and to escalate higher level problems to proper channels.
She/ He shall provide a periodic reports on the utilization of the systems including technical services provided, issues/problems encountered and how they were addressed and other activities he/ she has performed. He/ she shall also assist in the coordination, preparation and conduct of system trainings and training materials.
While the IT support staff is primarily responsible for managing the IT Helpdesk for the Information Systems, he/she is also expected to troubleshoot problems with the network and computer hardware as an auxiliary task.
a. Respond to inquiries, requests for technical assistance and helpdesk support from users of the information systems, i.e. GMMS, KMS, etc;
b. Manage the registration of system users and organizations, configuration of the system code libraries and other routine system activities;
c. Coordinate the conduct of system trainings, including logistics and other administrative requirements;
d. Assist in the preparation of system training materials;
e. Assist in the conduct of the system trainings;
f. Prepare periodic reports on the technical assistance/support provided, issues that were encountered and how they were addressed, performance status of the information systems and other technical reports as needed; and
g. Perform other IT-related tasks and support services that are similar to or related to his/ her specified duties which the immediate Supervisor or Division Chief may assign from time to time.
a. Provide software, hardware and network-related technical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and support;
b. Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and supplies including but not limited to providing technical specifications;
c. Assist in the enhancement/expansion of the PCW Local Area Network and other ICT facilities;
d. Respond to website posting request for uploading and provide necessary feedback and web usage metrics; and
e. Provide IT support to PCW events and activities.
