The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) launched ORANGE YOUR ICON for 18 Days as one of the major activities during the 2015 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), in solidarity with the United Nations’ UNiTE to End VAW Campaign.

The Philippine Commission on Women, will convene the Fifth GAD Budget Fora (5th GP Fora) on November 10 and 11, 2016 at Function Rooms A and B Ombudsman Main Building, Agham Road, North Triangle Quezon City.

The GAD Resource Pool (GR Pool) a component of the National GAD Resource Program (NGRP), is composed of individual GAD practitioners tapped by the PCW to provide Technical Assistance (TA) on GAD Mainstreaming to National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Local Government Units (LGUs). To date, PCW has certified 89 GR Pool members.
The 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) is observed annually from November 25 to December 12. The objective of this annual event is to raise awareness among all stakeholders that VAW is a public issue of national concern. It supports the Philippine Government’s goal to protect the human rights of women and its commitment to address all forms of VAW, consistent with the Magna Carta of Women.
Sama-samang Pagsulong sa mga Agenda ni Juana is a public event organized by the Philippine Commission on Women in coordination with partner organizations as part of the series of activities for the 2016 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC). It will be held on March 16, 2016; 6:00 to 9:00 AM at the Burnham Green in front of the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta Park, Manila.
The ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) was inaugurated during the 16th ASEAN Summit held in Ha Noi, Vietnam last 07 April 2010. The Philippines, through the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Philippine Commission on Women actively participated in the establishment of the ACWC. It aims to uphold, promote, protect, respect and fulfill the human rights and fundamental freedoms of women and children in the ASEAN.
