MOA localizing MCW signed


MOA Signing formalizing the partnership with the Regional Development Council and the Gender and Development (GAD) Council of Caraga Region on the Magna Carta of Women localization

Butuan City–The Philippine Commission on Women signed a memorandum of agreement, formalizing its partnership with the Regional Development Council and the Gender and Development (GAD) Council of Caraga Region on the Magna Carta of Women localization. The signing was held last September 24 in Butuan City. Hon. Sol F. Matugas, the lady Governor of Surigao del Norte said, “The MOA signing aims to strengthen gender and development by making PCW increasingly effective in mainstreaming GAD even up to the grassroots level.”

PCW Executive Director Emmeline Verzosa, Technical Services Division Chief Nharleen Miral and Planning Officer IV Jeanette Kindipan, represented PCW. With the signing, PCW discussed MCW objectives, oriented participants GAD concepts and tackled GAD and MCW-related activities that the region is tasked to implement.
